6.00 SEN PER UNIT FOR ASN 3 INCOME DISTRIBUTION

KUALA LUMPUR – Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) has announced an income distribution of 6.00 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Nasional 3 Imbang (ASN 3) for the financial year ended 30 November 2011.

The income distribution will involve a total payment of RM7.52 million and would benefit a total of 11,500 unit holders who hold a combined 125.41 million units of ASN 3.

Up until 21 November 2011, ASN 3 has recorded a gross income of RM9.26 million. Of the amount, profit from the sale of shares contributed RM4.48 million or 48.38%, dividend income contributed RM2.59 million or 27.97%, while RM2.19 million or 23.65% is derived from investment in short term instruments and other income.

The income distribution of ASN 3 will be calculated based on the unit holdings on 30 November 2011, which is the last day of the financial year of the fund. It will be re-invested into additional units of ASN 3, which will be automatically credited into the unit holders' accounts, based on the net asset value (NAV) on 30 November 2011.

For the unit holders who subscribed to the ASN 3 through the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Members' Investment Scheme, the income distribution will be credited directly into their respective EPF investment accounts.

All transactions for ASN 3 at the ASNB offices and agents has been suspended from 22 November 2011 to 30 November 2011 to facilitate the calculation of income distribution.

Unit holders will be able to update their accounts at ASNB head office; ASNB branch offices or ASNB agents beginning 1 December 2011.

The income distribution statement and fund's annual report will be sent to unit holders beginning end of January 2012.

ASN 3 is a variable priced balanced fund with the objective of generating capital growth over the medium to long-term period by investing in a balanced portfolio of investments through re-investment of distribution, if any. ASN 3 is opened to all Malaysians aged 18 years and above. It is also listed in the EPF Members' Investment Scheme.
