
INCOME DISTRIBUTION FOR ASN 3 RISE TO 8.00 SEN PER UNIT

KUALA LUMPUR, NOV 29th, 2007 :- Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) has announced an income distribution of 8.00 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Nasional 3 Imbang (ASN 3) for the financial year end November 30th, 2007, compared to 6.30 sen per unit last year, a rise of 1.70 sen.
YBhg Tan Sri Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid, Chairman of PNB told reporters today that the income distribution will involve a total payment of RM6.98 million, an increase of 20.97 percent from the total payment of RM5.77 million last year.
As at November 27th, 2007, ASN 3 has recorded a gross income of RM8.89 million, an increase of 39.78 percent compared to RM6.36 million recorded for the financial year ended November 30th, 2006.
Of the amount, the dividend income contributed RM3.13 million or 35.21 percent and profit from the sale of shares contributed RM4.54 million or 51.07 percent while RM1.22 million or 13.72 percent is derived from other income.
The income distribution will be calculated based on the unit holdings on November 30th, 2007, which is the last day of the financial year of ASN 3. The income distribution paid will be re-invested into additional units of ASN 3, which will be automatically credited into the unit holders accounts, based on the Net Asset Value (NAV) on November 30th, 2007. This will enable the unit holders to generate income continuously, in line with the ASN 3 objective.
Meanwhile, for those unit holders subscribing ASN 3 through the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) Members Scheme, the income distribution will be credited directly into the EPF Account.
All transactions for ASN 3 at the ASNB offices and agents had been suspended from November 28th, 2007 to December 2nd, 2007 for the calculation of income distribution.
ASN 3 is a balanced fund transacted at variable price which is opened to all Malaysians aged 18 years and above.
